Our Story

Three Hearts Catholic Books was born from a real need in our own home. As a Catholic mother searching for beautifully crafted, faithful books to teach my children the deeper truths of our faith, I found few resources that went beyond surface-level messages. Drawing on my love of creating and my background in graphic design, I began to write and illustrate my own books—stories that combined engaging narratives, timeless Catholic teaching, and rich, reverent imagery.

What started as a personal project for our family quickly became something too valuable to keep to ourselves. As friends and relatives saw the impact these stories had on our children, I felt called to share them with Catholic families everywhere. My hope is that Three Hearts Catholic Books will help parents and educators form young hearts and minds through good books, beautiful illustrations, and messages that echo the treasures of a classical Catholic education.

These books aim to teach virtues rarely found in mainstream children’s literature: redemptive suffering, trustful surrender to Divine Providence, praying for the souls in purgatory, and a deep love for God above all things. At their heart, they seek to foster charity, reverence, and joy, shaping how children view God and the world as they grow.

Every title is inspired by and entrusted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and the Most Chaste Heart of Saint Joseph. Through this devotion to the Three Hearts, Three Hearts Catholic Books strives to nurture a generation of children who not only know their faith but also love it—and live it.

The Heart Behind Three Hearts

Gina Zannetti is a Catholic wife and mother dedicated to creating true, good, and beautiful works that instill meaningful messages and timeless truths in the hearts of children and their families. As the founder of Three Hearts Catholic Books, she crafts richly illustrated stories rooted in authentic Catholic teaching—books that help parents and educators form young minds and hearts through themes rarely found in mainstream children’s literature, such as redemptive suffering, trustful surrender to Divine Providence, and prayers for the holy souls in purgatory.

With a background in genetic research and a PhD from Columbia University, Gina brings years of experience in medical writing, education, and evangelization. Her intellectual rigor is matched by her creative spirit: she is an accomplished musician and singer-songwriter with several original works published on iTunes and other platforms. This blend of scholarship, artistry, and spiritual devotion shapes her distinctive approach to Catholic children’s literature, infusing each book with clarity, reverence, and beauty.

Gina is also the founder of My Devotional Companion, a lay apostolate dedicated to helping Catholics grow in holiness through practical devotional tools and catechesis. Through her mobile app, website, and online community, she shares resources on indulgences, Marian devotions, and prayers for the souls in purgatory—making the treasures of the faith accessible to today’s faithful.

Her mission is to contribute to a world where faith and intellect grow hand in hand—especially in the hearts of the young.
